How does TAK-285 perform in in vivo xenograft tumor models?
Label:chem
Topic
In vivo models are crucial for evaluating the efficacy of new drugs in a more biologically relevant context. TAK-285 has been tested in mouse and rat xenograft models to assess its antitumor activity.
Answer
TAK-285 demonstrated significant antitumor activity in both mouse and rat xenograft models. In mice, TAK-285 inhibited the growth of BT-474 breast tumors and 4-1ST gastric tumors with T/C values of 29% and 11%, respectively. In rats, it inhibited the growth of tumors overexpressing HER2 (4-1ST) or EGFR (A-431) with T/C values of 14% and 13%, respectively. These results confirm its efficacy in inhibiting tumor growth in vivo.
