What materials were used in the fabrication of the nanoporous anodic alumina (NAA) biosensor?
Label:chem
Topic
The NAA biosensor's fabrication and functionalization involved several specific chemicals and materials.
Answer
High-purity aluminum substrates (99.999%) with a thickness of 0.5 mm were purchased from Goodfellow Cambridge Ltd. (Huntingdon, UK). Other materials included ethanol (C2H6O), acetone (C3H6O), oxalic acid (C2H2O4 ), perchloric acid (HClO4), chromic acid (H2CrO4), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 ), 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (C9H23NO3Si), human serum albumin (HSA), and IgG, all provided by Sigma Aldrich (St. Louis, MI, USA). Recombinant human growth hormone (hGH) and Recombinant Anti-human growth hormone antibody (anti-hGH) were supplied by Abcam. Glutaraldehyde was provided by ANAME. Double de-ionized (DI) water (18.6 ΜΩ, Milli-Q®) was used for all solutions unless otherwise specified.
