What are the cytotoxic effects of Bisphenol S (BPS) on trophoblastic cells?
Label:chem
Topic
Trophoblasts are placental cells critical for pregnancy progression and are sensitive to environmental toxins.
Answer
BPS exposure causes dose-dependent cytotoxicity in trophoblastic cells. At 2.0 μg/mL, all cells died within 24 hours. Lower concentrations (≤1.0 μg/mL) did not significantly affect viability, indicating a nonlinear response.
