A: Re-extraction with 96.2% ethanol allowed for complete recovery of δ-T3 from H. perforatum. The residues from the first extraction using hydroethanolic solutions below 70.0% ethanol were a good source of tocotrienols, which were successfully re-extracted using 96.2% ethanol with the assistance of ultrasound treatment. This indicates that re-extraction can significantly improve the overall recovery of tocotrienols.
