2-(6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)prop-2-enoic acid, also known as Dehydronaproxen, is an intermediate used in the quality control and commercial production of Naproxen, an anti-inflammatory drug. Dehydronaproxen is a close chemical relative of Naproxen, differing by the presence of an extra double bond in the propanoic acid group.
